Accessibility statement
This statement is from Kertessa and covers this site: the early access page, with its six questions and the notice called How we use your email, and this statement.
How accessible this site is
This site partly meets the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at level AA.
Our checks found no failures when they last ran. But no one has yet tested the site in a structured way with a screen reader or other assistive technology. Until that is done, we do not say it fully meets the standard.
You can choose a light or dark theme with the switch at the top of the early access page, and turn off its quiet sounds with the speaker button beside it. Your browser remembers both on this device.
Known problems
We know of no part of this site that fails WCAG 2.2 AA. When we find one, it goes here with the success criterion it fails and the date we will fix it by.
Not tested yet, and when it will be
- A structured test with assistive technology, such as a screen reader, voice control or a screen magnifier. Planned by 31 December 2026.
- The page on a phone's touch screen. Our checks so far ran in a computer's browser set to a phone's width. Planned by 31 December 2026.
- Text made twice as large on a wide screen, and wider spacing between letters, words and lines. Planned by 31 December 2026.
What we test, and when it last ran
Kertessa tests this site with its own checks. No outside organisation has tested it.
- An automated checker, axe-core 4.10.2, with the WCAG 2.0 A and AA, 2.1 AA and 2.2 AA rules, on the page in the light and dark themes at 1440 and 390 pixels wide, and on the notice at 390 pixels, a phone's width. Last run on 12 October 2026: no failures.
- No sideways scrolling at 320, 390, 430, 768, 1024 and 1440 pixels wide, in both themes. Last run on 12 October 2026.
- Colour contrast measured directly in the email box, where the example address sits in the box and the automated checker cannot decide: the address you type measures 18.08 to 1 in the light theme and 16.13 to 1 in the dark, and the example 5.45 to 1 and 5.84 to 1. WCAG asks for at least 4.5 to 1. Last run on 12 October 2026.
- Mistakes in the form: an empty email box, an address that is not complete, and joining without the first tick each show a message saying what to change. The message is joined to its box in the page's code, the box is marked as needing a change, and your focus goes back to it. Last run on 12 October 2026.
- Keyboard: every control shows a clear outline when it has the keyboard's focus, in both themes, and Escape closes the notice and puts your focus back on the link that opened it. Last run on 12 October 2026.
- Reduced motion: with your device set to reduce motion, nothing on the page moves. The only changes are fades lasting 120 milliseconds, and the example address in the email box stays still. Last run on 12 October 2026.
